Warehouse Dock labor and Packing
The positions require physical fit, strenuous work lifting and packing out and unloading pallets. Daily duties early morning unloading of trailer trucks and afternoon packing out pallets of outgoing freight.
$16.00 an hour –
Full-time *Monday thru Thursday 10 hrs shift
Part-time – Thursdays thru Saturday
( shifts 26 – 28 hours)
We are looking for self-motivated warehouse dock associates to join our team as we expand our operations to include green/recycled products at our new manufacturing facility. The positions require physical fit strenuous work lifting and packing out and unloading pallets
Responsibilities include:
· Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, and staging corrugated ops.
· Work collective as a team on daily deliveries with national in international accounts
· Load and unload materials to and from suppliers and system data entries.
· Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
· Verify computations against the physical count of stock. Participate in physical inventories (counts).
· Maintain the condition of the work area. Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same. Inform the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
· Receive and fill orders.
· May operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
The work environment and expectations for this role include:
· Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, bending or squatting or using a 10-key or calculator.
· Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes.
· You will need to demonstrate how to select correct processes from prescribed rules, past practices, or instructions. You should be comfortable seeking advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from the supervisor (deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor).
· Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age / must pass a Drug Test / HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
Preferred candidates will have a previous warehouse, light manufacturing, and/or forklift experience.
