The Case Wrapper Operator is responsible for the operation of a Case Wrapper machine to pack blocks of woven bags in a corrugated box, automatically palletized into quarter pallets or full pallets. The Operator is responsible for meeting customer requirements while conforming to company standards for quality and job parameters. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

∙ Ensures the work conducted within the production area is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

• Maintains a clean work area, free from waste, strapping bands, cardboard, etc.
• Ensures that the finished product is correct and matches with the case plates.
• Loads woven bags blocks on main conveyor.
• Repositions case plates, hot melt glue and wooden pallets. 
•  Adjusts machine to improve box quality, using knobs, hand wheels, or hand tools. 

∙ Inspects and examines finished boxes or pallets, conformance to specifications, and external defects. 

∙ Examines job orders to determine details such as quantities to be packed, production times, etc. 

∙ Operates equipment at required speed to ensure quality, alignment, and low scraps level. 

∙ Maintains, or adjusts equipment using proper preventive maintenance techniques. 

∙ Cleans and lubricates printing press and components, using oil, solvents, brushes, and rags. 

∙ Ensures adherence to all KPI’s, quality control processes and procedures and actively supports the company’s management program. 

∙ Maintains daily time and materials usage reports by entering information into the computer management system. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

∙ 1-2 years relevant experience in industry preferred. 

∙ Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, time management and troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented. 

∙ Individual must be able to monitor processes, materials and equipment, as well as judge quality through inspection of characteristics. 

∙ Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills. 

∙ Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, maintaining flexibility, objectivity and a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Physical Requirements: 

∙ Stand for long periods of time throughout the day. 

∙ Required to lift up to 50 lbs. 

∙ Will walk and climb stairs.

∙ Will reach over shoulder heights and below waist. 

∙ Required to use hands to lift, handle, carry or feel.

∙ May be required to kneel, bend, talk and hear.

∙ The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

∙ Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
